Today's Topic is Future
*All scripture is written in New King James Version. Parenthesis ( ) reflect insight that the Lord gave to me.
Jer 29:11-14
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you a future and a
hope.
12 Then (after you have returned to the place where I want you to be) you will call upon me and go and pray to me, and I will listen
to you.
13 And you will seek me and find me, when you search for me with all your heart.
14 I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and
from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I caused you to be
carried away captive.
God promises that He has a plan for our future. When we stray away from that plan, He allows us to suffer the consequences of that
choice for a period of time. However, because He is a loving God, He will always bring us back to that place where we went wrong
to give us a chance to make the right choice.
Then, He promises He will hear us at that time, and listen to us. We will be able to find Him if we search with all of our heart. He
even promises us reconciliation and restoration (vs 14). He waits for us, patiently, to return to that place where we left Him. He is a
loving and forgiving God. He only has our success in mind. The rest is up to us!
Jer 1: 5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the
nations."
Jer 31:16-17 16 Thus says the Lord: "Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears; For your works shall be
rewarded, says the Lord, and they (your children) shall come back from the land of the enemy. 17 There is hope in your
future, says the Lord, that your children shall come back to their own border.
Jer 33:3 Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.
Deut 7:9 Therefore know that the Lord your God; He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand
generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.
Rom 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of
the Holy Spirit.
Phil 2:13 For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
