Today's Topic is The God Who Sees
*All referenced scriptures are taken from the New King James Version

2 Kings 6:14-18 14  Therefore he sent horses and chariots and a great army there, and they came by night and surrounded the
city.  15  And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with
horses and chariots.  And his servant said to him, "Alas, my master!  What shall we do?"

16  So he answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them."  17  And Elisha prayed,
and said, "Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see."  Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw.  And
behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.  18  So when the Syrians came down to him,
Elisha prayed to the Lord, and said, "Strike this people, I pray, with blindness."  And He [God] struck them with blindness
according to the word of Elisha.

How many times has God blessed us to travel safely from one destination to another.  I'm sure that you will find it to be too
numerous to count!  Well, one day it dawned on me that although I  thought that I was just driving to work-I don't know all of the
things that God had protected me from along the way.

In the scriptures above, it says that Elisha prayed for God to open the eyes of his servant.  The amazing thing is that those horses
and chariots of fire were already there before Elisha prayed.  The prayer only made them visible to the young servant.  That leads me
to believe that God already had Elisha's back.  How is that possible?  Because He is the God who sees.

Gen. 16:6-10, 13  6  So Abram said to Sarai, "Indeed your maid is in your hand; do to her as you please."  And when Sarai dealt
harshly with her, she fled from her presence.  7  Now the Angel of the Lord found her by the spring of water in the wilderness,
by the spring on the way to Shur.  8  And He said, "Hagar, Sarai's maid, where have you come from, and where are you
going?"  She said, "I am fleeing from the presence of my mistress Sarai."

9  The Angel of the Lord said to her, "Return to your mistress, and submit yourself under her hand."  10  Then the Angel of the
Lord said to her, "I will multiply your descendants exceedingly, so that they shall not be counted for multitude."  13  Then she
called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees; for she said, "Have I also here seen Him who sees
    me?"

He sees the trouble ahead.  He sees when we are mistreated.  He sees when we are taken for granted.  He sees when we're in
need.  He even sees when we are doing wrong.

But here is the best part:  He not only sees, but He feels it, too.  Our God is more than a spectator.  Spectators stand by and watch
things take place.  Our God takes action!  He'll provide comfort, shelter, money, love, correction, or whatever else is needed.

Eph. 6:12  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of
darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Take time today to give thanks to God, because He truly is the God who sees!

I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light.  Have a Happy Wednesday!
