Today's Topic is Gaining Favor with the King

    Esther 2:8-9 NKJV

8  So it was, when the king's command and the decree were heard, and when many young women were gathered at Shushan
the citadel, under the custody of Hegai, that Esther also was taken to the king's palace, into the care of Hegai the custodian of
the women.   9  Now the young woman pleased him, and she obtained his favor; so he readily gave pleased him, and she
obtained his favor; so he readily gave beauty preparations to her, besides  him, and she obtained his favor; so he readily gave
beauty preparations to her, besides her favor; so he readily gave beauty preparations to her, besides her allowance.  Then
seven ; so he readily gave beauty preparations to her, besides her allowance.  Then seven choice beauty preparations to her,
besides her allowance.  Then seven choice maidservants were even choice maidservants were provided for her from the
king's palace, and he moved her and provided for her from the king's palace, and he moved her and her maidservants to the
best  from the king's palace, and he moved her and her maidservants to the best place in the house of the women.

When we prepare ourselves to come before the King (God), we will begin to obtain favor from the most unlikely places.  We will
receive things that the world says we shouldn't have, and we will be moved to the best places!

Esther 2:12, 14 NKJV 12  Each young woman's turn came to go in to King Ahasuerus after she had completed twelve months'
preparation, according to the regulations for the women, for thus were the days of their preparation apportioned:  six months
with oil of myrrh, and six months with perfumes and preparations for beautifying women. 14  In the evening she went, and in
the morning she returned to the second house of the women, to the custody of Shaashgaz, the king's eunuch who kept the
concubines.  She would not go in to the king again unless the king delighted in her and called for her by name.

We cannot come before the King (God) on judgement day, without first going through the beautification process.  We must study His
word, pray, and allow Him to make us into the vessel He desires us to be.  Otherwise, our lack of preparation will cause us to be
banished from His presence, for all eternity.

Praying and spending time with the Lord are things that gain favor with God.  These things also beautify and help us to gracefully
deal with the issues of life until He sends for us.  Don't allow the enemy to make you believe that you are doing these things in vain.
It took twelve months for the women to prepare to meet the king, however, those who did it right, reaped major benefits.  In the same
way, so will we.  So don't give up, and stay faithful!

I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light.  Have a Happy Wednesday!
