
| Because of Unbelief Apr. 20, 2005 |

Matthew 13:57-58 (NKJV) 57 So they were offended at Him. But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house." 58 Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief. Why are we amazed? Isn't God a promise keeper? Doesn't His word say that He will hear us and answer us? Isaiah 65:24 NKJV "It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear. Matt. 13 says that Jesus did not do many works because of their unbelief. He didn't want to waste His time with people that wouldn't believe in Him. So, He went somewhere else and performed many miracles. Believing is half the battle. The other half is waiting. The longer God makes us wait, the more we tend to lose hope and doubt Him. Sometimes, we cause God to hold back on us because of our unbelief. Stand firm on your belief. If you believe it, and it lines up with the will of God, then it is as good as done. He wants to do so much for us! We just have to hold Him to His word, and it will come to pass. Don't let unbelief keep you from what God has for you. Ephesians 3:20 NKJV Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, Isaiah 55:8 NLT "My thoughts are completely different from yours," says the LORD.
