Romans 8:26 NKJV Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Sometimes when a child cries, he experiences so much agony that we can't understand what he is saying. We ask him, "What's wrong?" and his reply is jumbled up with sobs of pain. We ache to relieve his distress but we don't understand the problem. The only thing we can do is hold him until he has calmed down enough to speak clearly. Sometimes, we cry this way too. Sometimes we are so hurt that we feel like we can't pray. We are so overwhelmed by our hurt that we can't even speak complete sentences. These are times when we have to rely on the Holy Spirit to interpret our problem to the Father so He can help us. If all we can do is groan, the Holy Spirit understands. He is like a secretary taking dictation, translating all of the moans into words for the Lord God. There is no feeling too great for His vocabulary. God doesn't want us feel ashamed about crying out to Him, because He wants to comfort us and shield us from this evil world. So whenever words are not enough to describe the pain, remember, we have another language available to us. It's called, crying. And that's a language that God can always understand. (I guess that makes us bilingual.) I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light. Have a Happy Wednesday! God Bless, Min. Tommy & Sis. Shatika Gray |
