Rom. 7:14-15 NLT 14 So the trouble is not with the law, for it is spiritual and good. The trouble is with me, for I am all too human, a slave to sin. 15 I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Ever feel as if your emotions and desires have you torn in two? For example, on one hand you want to do the things that the Bible says are good for you to do but on the other hand your flesh is telling you to do something else. Well, you're not alone. We all have felt this way at one point or another. Even the Apostle Paul felt this way. In Romans 7, he describes the war that is going on between his flesh and his spirit. But in the midst of his frustration, he realizes that there is an answer. The answer is Jesus Christ and He is our Lord and Savior. He can save us and deliver us from any temptation or stronghold. And He can give us direction when things start spinning out of control. Only Jesus can give us strength to submit to God and resist the enemy. Only Jesus can speak calmness in the midst of chaos. Only Jesus can give us peace when our soul and spirit are at war. Only Jesus; only Jesus. For His yoke is easy and His burden is light, and through Him we can finally put our minds to rest. So let's not live our lives being torn in two any longer. Instead, let's ask Jesus to make us whole again and make us one with Him. I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light.
