Overcoming Stress
Oct. 29, 2008
Phil 4:6-7 NKJV 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be
made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through
    Christ Jesus.

The Apostle Paul tells us to be anxious for nothing.  There are things in our life that will cause us to worry, if we let it.  Sometimes
situations and circumstances can get the best of us, and at times we can get overwhelmed at life itself. God is more than aware of
all that we have going on in our lives.  Since God is aware, and a very present help in times of trouble, if we focus on him, that will
    keep us from being anxious.

Paul knew what God was capable of, which is why he wrote, “be anxious for nothing.”  Paul knew God was all powerful, all-knowing,
all-seeing, and ever-present.  The next time you find yourself worrying or being anxious, remember the very essence of who God is.

    God is:

    1. Omnipresent- God is everywhere.  He's always one step ahead of you working everything out (Joshua 1:9)

    2. Omnipotence- God has all power, and he is able to fix anything.  (Jeremiah 32:27, Psalm 24:1)

    3. Omniscience- God has perfect knowledge.  God knows all the in dept details about your situations.  God knows how to put you in
the right place, at the right time, and he knows what to do to cause you to meet the right people, so you can get the right blessing.

Whatever situation that you have going on in your life right now, God is not “worried” about it, and neither should you.

    PRAYER FOR THE WEEK
Lord, teach me not to be anxious, but to focus on you.

I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light.  Have a Happy Wednesday!

    God Bless,
Minister Tommy and Sister Shatika Gray
