Luke 5:31-32 NKJV 31 Jesus answered and said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. 32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance. The Wrong Doctor (devil) may correctly diagnose your condition because he has no problem telling you that you are messed up. But, he will discourage you from seeking treatment or confessing your condition to others. In comparison, the Right Doctor (Jesus) will strongly suggest you surround yourself with others who have overcome your particular condition by the grace of God. He would encourage you to draw strength from their testimonies so that one day you can be strong enough to share your testimony as well. He will also intercede on your behalf. How do you know if you are going to the Right Doctor (Jesus)? You can judge by the medicine he prescribes. If he suggests working overtime hours, having more money, alcohol, drugs, or avoidance as ways to deal with your spiritual problem then you are going to the Wrong Doctor (devil). Does he prescribe fighting, gambling, fornication or adultery as means to make you feel better? Does he tell you that your situation is hopeless? Then, yes, you guessed it. You are going to the Wrong Doctor. The Right Doctor (Jesus) will give you a prescription for unlimited love, peace, hope, joy and gentleness with a strict diet of faith, repentance, prayer, budgeting, reading and meditating on the scriptures daily. He would also provide counselors and prayer partners who will stand by you until you are fully recovered. Make sure you check your doctor's credentials and references. If the advice he is giving you doesn't line up with God's word then you are listening to the Wrong Doctor (devil). You wouldn't play around with your natural or mental health by listening to an unqualified physician. So don't do it with your spiritual health. Change your doctor today and get on the path to wholeness. Jesus is the one true physician who can heal every disease. I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light.
