Deuteronomy 30:19-20 NKJV 19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; 20 that you may love the LORD your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them." Life is like a taste-test. Every day, we are presented with different "products" that represent the two most powerful "companies" ever created. From those "companies", we are given the option to choose life or to choose death. One "company" is ran by God, and of course the other is temporarily controlled by Satan. As we go through life, we taste "products" from each. Some of these "products" include the church we choose; the friends we hang around; the music we listen to; the way we use our spare time (i.e. watching X-rated movies, going to the club, reading our bibles, helping at a shelter, going to holy-ghost parties); and how we spend our money (i.e. tithes & offering, giving to charities, gambling, drugs/alcohol/cigarettes). Thank God for the Holy Spirit who gives us hints! And for those who didn't know, God's company also produces "airline tickets" for Heaven. Satan's only manufactures look-a-like "tickets" that actually take unsuspecting passengers directly to Hell (non-stop). But unlike Satan, God truly cares about His "consumers", so He paid for the "tickets" and sent His only Son to pass them out. I pray you will be able to tell the difference when you take these taste-tests. Which will you choose? (*Hint: Choose the one that doesn't leave a bad taste in your mouth.) I hope you enjoyed reading the word of God in a new light. Have a Happy Wednesday! God Bless, Min. Tommy & Sis. Shatika Gray Additional Scripture References John 10:9-11 NKJV 9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. 11 "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. John 14:5-7 NLT 5 "No, we don't know, Lord," Thomas said. "We haven't any idea where you are going, so how can we know the way?" 6 Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. 7 If you had known who I am, then you would have known who my Father is. From now on you know him and have seen him!" |
